About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Planate Management Group. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in providing engineering and construction quality assurance, technical oversight, and management for various projects worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Support and assist in ensuring the completion of projects in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Technical Inspections: Conduct on-site construction observations to verify proper installation, forming, and execution of construction elements.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance by performing technical inspections of electrical work, monitoring the contractor's quality control program, and reviewing project drawings and specifications.
  • Schedule Management: Oversee and ensure adherence to the project schedule, submitting weekly progress reports with recommendations based on technical reviews and field inspections.
  • Engineering Support: Review engineering shop drawings and determine if the contractor has complied with the final design parameters.
  • Contractor Management: Review contractor submittals for compliance with contract requirements and resolve conflicts as needed.
  • Quality Control: Monitor the construction contractor's quality assurance and safety program.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other disciplines, interpreting drawings within the electrical discipline, and understanding how it fits with other engineering disciplines.
  • Corrective Actions: Perform quality assurance tasks, ensuring proper inspection of contractor's work, and initiating corrective actions when necessary.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor construction progress vis-a-vis the project schedule.
  • Reporting: Submit weekly progress reports with recommendations based on the technical review of project documents and field inspections.
  • Technical Inspections: Perform technical inspections of the electrical elements of the project.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Clearance: Final Secret, Interim Top Secret, or Final Top Secret clearance issued by Defense Security Services at the time of proposal.
  • Experience: Previous experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on high and low voltage equipment, and telephone and fire alarm systems.
  • Skills: Ability to read and interpret design/construction drawings and understand design narratives and calculations.
  • Communication: Strong understanding of engineering principles within the electrical discipline and its integration with other disciplines.
  • Collaboration: Must have good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment: Must be willing to commit to a 48-month contract and 50 hours per week of work.
  • Residency: Must lawfully reside in the United States and eligible for employment.
