POSITION SUMMARY

JOB TITLE: PROJECT MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT

LOCATION: FRISCO, TX

The Project Management Assistant is expected to exhibit a high level of expertise in the construction management process, demonstrating integrity through principled leadership and sound business ethics. This role requires the ability to cultivate and sustain positive relationships that foster long-term collaborations with clients, general contractors, and other associated consultants. The individual will serve as the on-site representative of the CYMCOR team, focusing on aligning our services with the clients' objectives and expectations.

This position is ideally suited for candidates with a degree in construction management, engineering, or a minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, estimating, cost control, or development.

The Project Management Assistant will report directly to the Lead Development Manager on-site and/or the Principal overseeing the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as the dedicated on-site representative for CYMCOR.
  • Provide direct management, mentorship, and development of the on-site CYMCOR team as necessary.
  • Engage in open communication, attend meetings, and present our services to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively with a diverse team to meet deadlines and offer solutions.
  • Generate reports as required by our scope of services.
  • Serve as a proactive liaison between the Client, Contractor, and other Consultants.
  • Oversee the overall Change Management and Cost Control processes, including:
    • Project Budget Setup
    • Project Buyout Oversight
    • Project Change Management Process
    • Analysis of Potential Change Events and provide recommendations in the best interest of the Client
    • Understanding of Owner-Contractor Agreements
  • Review and provide insights regarding complex construction scenarios.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, timely notifications, schedule impacts, and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Promote positive relationships between CYMCOR and key project stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous service and process improvement initiatives.
  • Lead weekly cost meetings with the Client and Project Team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Commercial Construction and/or Development.
  • Self-motivated and driven individual.
  • Highly organized with strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to comprehend, evaluate, and communicate complex cost issues.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of stakeholders.
  • Capability to effectively lead both in-person and virtually.
