Job Title: Portfolio Manager I-II

City First Bank N.A. is a mission-driven Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) focused on transformative impact in underserved, urban markets. We are seeking a skilled Portfolio Manager to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Portfolio Manager will report to the Commercial Underwriting Manager and support the management of the Bank's loan portfolio. This role will assume responsibility for complex lending relationships, including underwriting, and serve as a senior subject matter expert internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and manage a portfolio of commercial loans, performing analysis to determine financial viability and developing strategies to manage past due financial information and reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate with the relationship management team, accountants, and third-party guarantors during the monitoring/renewal process.
  • Assist with the identification of potential problem loans, recommend risk rating changes, and assume responsibility for loans newly identified as criticized and classified problems loans.
  • Provide credit support and underwriting services, including analyzing and spreading customer financial information, assessing collateral, and preparing business, personal, and global debt service coverage ability.
  • Perform annual reviews, quarterly watch reports, and semi-annual reviews of credits within the assigned portfolio.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field required; 3 additional years of commercial credit underwriting and analysis experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree.
  • 4-7+ years of commercial credit, financial statement analysis, portfolio management, and customer service experience required.
  • Completion of formal or in-house credit training required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Uncompromised attention to detail and demonstrated eagerness to problem solve through research and application of experience/knowledge.
  • Strong ability to interact pro-actively with all levels of the organization.
Salary:

$125,200 - $143,980, annually
