About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Baker and Packager Associate to join our team at Sam's Club. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing fresh baked items daily, following recipes and production instructions, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards and sanitation guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Player: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team, communicate effectively, and be flexible to meet the needs of the business.
  • Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs, operate baking equipment, follow recipes/make-up instructions, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Be a Problem Solver: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, utilizing handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
  • Be an Owner: Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintain work area according to company policies and procedures, and ensure quality and date control standards for bakery items.
  • Be a Customer Advocate: Provide exceptional customer service, answer questions, and ensure member satisfaction by maintaining a positive attitude, smiling, greeting, and thanking members.
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time while assisting members quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
  • Ability to maintain a clean, neat, and member-ready area
