Job Title: Director of Finance

At Midas Building Group, we're seeking a highly skilled Director of Finance to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in shaping our financial strategies and ensuring the company's continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's long-term goals.
  • Identify and manage financial risks, including market risks, credit risks, and operational risks.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Accounting to prepare budgets, forecasts, and analytic reports.
  • Develop and foster banking and lending relationships.
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the company's risk management policies are in alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain bonding and surety programs.
  • Lead the company's overall trade partner prequalification process.
  • Partner with operations, preconstruction, and estimating teams to develop, implement, and track consistent risk management procedures.
  • Develop relationships with trade partner relationships and procedures.
  • Provide trade partner qualification process training to associates.
  • Manage and centralize insurance project requirements (owner and subcontractors).
  • Manage the internal contract review process for the company.
  • Serve as liaison between operations and owners for contract and insurance-related requests.
  • Manage all company business licenses and contractor licenses.
  • Lead the annual insurance renewal process with other key stakeholders in the organization.
  • Manage all incident and claims, including auto, general liability, WC, and professional liability.
  • Develop and maintain builders risk programs and policies as needed.
  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Monitor changes in HR legislation and make recommendations to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with legal counsel and other internal stakeholders to manage and respond to escalated HR-related legal issues.
  • Ensure all annual compliance reporting obligations are fulfilled.
  • Oversee background check processes and escalation.
  • Support HR Manager with payroll and benefits management.
  • Provide guidance and training to HR Manager and other stakeholders on compliance issues and best practices.
  • Provide guidance to HR Manager and Executive Team for feedback, review, and personal development programs.
  • Recommend and implement updates and changes to the Company Handbook as needed.

  • Strong leadership and management skills in directing an organization, department, or group.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Eager to learn, and to teach/mentor.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Experience at interfacing at all levels throughout an organization.
  • Exceptional work ethic and desire to lead and mentor.
