Job Title: Behavior Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavior Technician to join our team at Consultants for Children, Inc. Our company is committed to providing high-quality services to children with autism and other developmental disabilities, and we are looking for a skilled professional to help us achieve this goal.

Job Summary:

The Behavior Technician will work one-on-one with children in a home, school, or community setting to implement evidence-based protocols and positive reinforcement techniques to teach or increase language and communication skills, promote play and social skills, encourage daily living activities, and develop pre-academic skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) intervention programs to children in a home, school, or community setting
  • Observe and collect data on the child's behavior
  • Teach the child specific behavior skills called for in the treatment plan
  • Attend regular supervisory meetings with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Maintain clear lines of communication and professional boundaries
Requirements:
  • Patience and ability to interact well with active children
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a therapy team member and work independently
  • Availability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week
  • Abide by the RBT ethics code
  • Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean background and positive references
  • Must be able to lift 40lbs, run, kneel, stand, play, and more
  • Will have to be certified as an RBT by 90 days of employment
