Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise customers on routine maintenance and repair services.
  • Conduct visual inspections and road tests to identify mechanical issues.
  • Prepare repair orders, estimate costs, and obtain customer approval for additional repairs.
  • Communicate with customers regarding inspection results, recommended procedures, and repair orders.
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation of customer interactions and repair orders.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Schedule service appointments and maintain accurate records.
  • Stay up-to-date on manufacturer training and certifications, including Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Work Environment

The Service Advisor will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, interacting with customers, technicians, and other team members. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity in a deadline-driven environment.
