Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Center Store Associate to join our team at SpartanNash. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our store is well-stocked, visually appealing, and provides an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receive, unload, and stock merchandise in the back room, ensuring that products are properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Fill, rotate, and merchandise shelves, cases, and displays on the sales floor, maintaining a visually appealing and organized store environment.
  • Notify management when products and supplies need to be ordered, ensuring that our store is always well-stocked.
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of all products carried in the departments and be able to locate products in the store, providing excellent customer service.
  • Handle spoiled or damaged products according to established guidelines, minimizing waste and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked store environment, adhering to all safety and food safety guidelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management, supporting the overall success of our store.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Retail or related experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role include standing and walking for extended periods, lifting and moving up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate may be required to bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently. The work environment is typically a retail store setting with varied temperatures and occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.
