The successful candidate will operate radiographic equipment to produce high-quality images of the body, ensuring optimal diagnostic quality of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform specialized and routine diagnostic radiology procedures, adhering to strict safety protocols and guidelines.
- Explain procedures to patients, reducing anxieties and ensuring patient cooperation.
- Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging procedures, utilizing immobilization devices to obtain optimal views.
- Determine exposure factors based on patient height, weight, and body portion involved, ensuring accurate and detailed images.
- Operate mobile radiologic equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or at patients' bedsides, adapting to dynamic environments.
- Assist radiologists and other qualified physicians in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations, maintaining a high level of professionalism and expertise.
- Process images, review for quality control, and complete forms and records as required.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on radiologic equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
