Freight Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Freight Logistics Specialist to join our team at OCEANAIR Inc. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a challenging role and contribute to the growth of our company.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless customs clearance processes for our international operations. This includes classifying goods, preparing import documentation, clearing goods through customs, and arranging delivery to designated destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classify goods according to Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) clarification and valuation of merchandise
- Prepare and process import documentation according to customs regulations.
- Clear goods through customs and arrange for the delivery of goods to the designated destination as per the client agreement
- Monitor and trace the location of goods
- Must have a proactive approach to staying current with industry changes and updates
- Utilize product database to document and request necessary documents
Requirements:
- 3- 5 years' experience with Customs House Brokerage is preferred
- Strong knowledge of customs compliance regulation
- Accurate and concise data entry of client shipment detail and updates to shipment
- Highly organized, detail oriented, ability to handle multiple projects and changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office
