Aircraft Upholstery Technician II

Aviation Technology Associates LLC is seeking a skilled Aircraft Upholstery Technician II to join our team in Savannah, GA.
Job SummaryAs an Aircraft Upholstery Technician II, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing upholstery, cover panels, and making simple patterns for aircraft interiors using design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and make simple patterns for aircraft interiors using design/engineering drawings and aircraft specifications.
- Work with fabric, vinyl, and leather hides, composites, and other materials using specified adhesives, sewing equipment, hardware, hand tools, and various power tools.
- Cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, and cover/install panels.
- Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Two (2) years of experience using commercial sewing machines, sergers, and/or various hand tools used in upholstery and carpet trades.
- Experience in the aerospace industry is preferred.
The ideal candidate will be able to read, write, speak, and understand proficiently the English language. They will also be able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation, use measuring tools, and perform basic math computations. The candidate must be computer literate and able to climb ladders and stairs, work in small restricted areas, lift up to 40 pounds, and work any shift.
The estimated pay rate for this position is $25.66 per hour.
