Job Title: Project Manager

Fortis Construction-Oregon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team.

Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of construction projects, including cost estimates, scheduling, procurement, and logistical coordination. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with design and engineering teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and monitor job progress schedules to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Review and approve shop drawings and submittals for compliance with the scope of work
  • Issue and manage vendor and trade subcontracts, and review and approve payment requests
  • Purchase and monitor the delivery of materials to ensure optimum prices, quality, and conformance to specifications
  • Visit job sites regularly to review progress and quality of work, and conduct meetings with site coordinators
  • Anticipate and mitigate safety hazards, and lead safety incident review meetings
  • Prepare various reports to manage projects, including monthly status updates, analysis, schedules, and billings
Requirements
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant construction management experience in the industrial arena
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • At least 3 years of profit and loss responsibility on multiple projects
  • Proficient with MS Office, PDF, and estimating and document programs
  • Able to read and interpret construction documents
  • High level of emotional intelligence and ability to build relationships with multiple personality types
  • Proven experience with various contracting methods, including lump sum, GMP, cost plus construction management, and fee-based construction
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of budgeting and forecasting, and related reports and records
Physical Requirements

This role requires standing or walking for long periods of time, and occasional movement of equipment up to 50 lbs. A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are also required.
