**Job Summary**
Denali Universal Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for providing protection of work site, personnel, and assets from events such as assault, theft, vandalism, harassment, and other disruptive incidents.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of employees, customers, and clients.
- Verify personnel credentials and vehicle placarding to ensure authorized access.
- Respond to emergencies and disasters to preserve life and property.
- Enforce safety and sanitation standards.
- Issue and record ID badges.
- Perform routine input or monitoring of safety and life support computer programs.
**Requirements**
- At least one (1) year of work experience with a municipal, state, or federal law enforcement agency, military police unit, corrections activity, or private security company within the past five years.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge upon hire.
- Must be able to pass an initial background check (public records).
- Possess or be able to attain State of Alaska Unarmed Security Guard license before starting work.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Two (2) or more years of work experience with a municipal, state, or federal law enforcement agency, military police unit, corrections activity, or private security company within the past five years.
- Fluent in a second language.
