Job Title: Food Expeditor

At 49th State Brewing - Ted Stevens, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Food Expeditor to join our team. As a Food Expeditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and front-of-house areas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage ticket times and ensure that food orders are prepared and served promptly and efficiently.
• Communicate effectively with cooks, servers, and runners to ensure seamless service.
• Monitor and maintain high-quality food presentation and plating standards.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure that all items on the ticket are prepared and served together.
• Address any issues or concerns with tickets and communicate with management and chefs as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid Alaska Food Handlers card required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in customer service or food and beverage service.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a restaurant and kitchen setting with stairs, uneven surfaces, and potentially loud noise levels. The employee may be exposed to hazards such as slipping, tripping, and falls. Frequent hand washing is required due to staff interactions in food prep areas.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. Occasional moving of products weighing up to 30 pounds may be required.

No travel is required for this position.
