Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Packing Specialist to join our team at ShiftPixy Staffing. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for safely and effectively packing finished goods and preparing product for shipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform quality checks and ensure correct counts on various product sizes and packs into the appropriate packaging.
  • Replace adhesive tape in hand tapers and automatic sealing machinery.
  • Notify operators and/or supervisors of quality issues as they arise.
  • Ensure that finished goods or work-in-progress identification labels are present and placed in the correct position.
  • Stack finished product in the correct configuration, ready for transportation.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy work environment.
  • Report any issues concerning health and safety, hygiene, quality, and efficiencies to supervisors.
  • Follow all company-established rules and policies, including safety regulations.
  • Complete paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential.
  • English language proficiency is required; Spanish is helpful.
  • Basic mathematical skills are necessary.
  • No computer skills are required for this role.
Work Environment

This role involves working in a loud, humid, and dusty environment with extreme heat (depending on the season). You will be required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, squat, twist, climb, lift up to 30 lbs, push, pull, carry, and reach.

Compensation

The hourly wage for this role is $15-$15 per hour.
