Kettering Health is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Services Worker II to join our team.

Responsibilities

  • Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform cleaning and disinfection tasks in designated areas, including operating rooms, sterile processing, and MRI suites.
  • Document daily assignments and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide excellent customer service to staff and patients, responding to their needs in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate laundry equipment, change curtains, and perform various utility duties as assigned.
  • Handle regular and hazardous waste, including operating waste processing equipment.
  • Deliver supplies to designated locations.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in housekeeping or a related field.
  • Floor care experience.
  • Able to lift, push, or pull 10-25 pounds daily.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand written instructions in English.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Strong planning, initiation, and follow-through skills.
  • Excellent communication, attitude, and attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
