The State of California is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Psychiatric Technician to join our Correctional Health Care Services team. As a Psychiatric Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals in our correctional facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic level of general nursing and behavioral and psychiatric nursing care to patients in accordance with the Mental Health Program Guide, policies and procedures, and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of appropriate and timely healthcare to patients.
- Support daily healthcare operations and communicate effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team.
- Address the ongoing needs of patients and promote the efficient, appropriate, and cost-effective use of healthcare resources.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
