Job Summary

Bridgewell is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Direct Support Professional 2 to provide support and assistance in Level 2 residential programs. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with individuals who require daily intervention, supervision, and skills training in activities of daily living. Your expertise will be essential in creating opportunities for individuals to develop their skills and foster independence.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide support and assist individuals with skills training in all activities of daily living, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  2. Create opportunities for individuals to make decisions and develop their skills, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  3. Provide services to individuals according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards, as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  4. Assist individuals with all medical, clinical, and financial needs, ensuring their overall well-being and quality of life.
  5. Transport and accompany individuals as needed to and from medical, recreational, and other activities outside the program.
  6. Maintain required documentation according to DDS, DMH, MassHealth, HUD, DPH, CARF, and all applicable regulatory standards as well as Bridgewell policies and procedures.
  7. Assist individuals with accessing resources and recreational opportunities in the community, promoting socialization and community integration.
  8. Administer medications according to MAP regulations, as applicable.
  9. Maintain core training certifications, including FA/CPR, PABC, and MAP, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  10. Develop positive relationships with guardians, family members, and other stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the program.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or GED required; Associates or DSP Certification preferred.
  2. Minimum of 1 year of experience working with people with developmental or psychiatric disabilities preferred.
  3. Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
