Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced College Access Program Coordinator to join our team at Commonpoint Queens. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing post-secondary support to students and families, as well as developing and implementing college readiness activities in local high schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to local high schools to provide post-secondary support to students and families
  • Develop and implement college readiness activities in collaboration with school staff
  • Provide individual and group college advisement to students
  • Assist students with college applications, financial aid, and scholarship applications
  • Provide family engagement workshops on financial aid and the college choice and application process
  • Regularly update student contact information and maintain statistical and narrative documentation
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • At least three years of experience working with adolescents in an urban environment
  • Strong ability to establish a strong rapport with an urban adolescent population and their families
  • Excellent organizational, teamwork, verbal, and written communication skills

Commonpoint Queens offers a competitive salary range of $50,000-$60,000 and a comprehensive benefits package.
