About the Role

Capital One is seeking a highly skilled Cyber Technical Lead to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity department, you will be responsible for leading the design and evolution of an enterprise-scale data enrichment platform that ingests, enriches, and produces security findings identified through Capital One's security testing capabilities.

In this role, you will work closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to drive high-level strategic discussions and accelerate adoption of best engineering practices. You will also contribute to the creation of next-generation talent for Tech, mentoring internal talent and actively recruiting external talent to bolster Capital One's technical capabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of an enterprise-scale data enrichment platform to enhance security findings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of modern technologies and approaches
  • Develop and mentor junior engineers to grow skills in the broader Capital One team
  • Promote a culture of engineering excellence and encourage reuse and innersourcing of solutions
  • Effectively communicate with and influence key stakeholders across the enterprise
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
  • At least 4 years of experience in application development (internship experience does not apply)
  • At least 3 years of experience in data architecture
  • At least 3 years of data modeling experience
  • At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience using Python, Java, or related language
  • 5+ years of experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or related compute engines
  • 4+ years experience working on real-time data and streaming applications
  • 2+ years experience with agile engineering practices
  • 1+ years cybersecurity data and testing concepts like image/container, infrastructure, SAST, DAST, SCA, etc.
Compensation and Benefits

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location:

New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $201,400 - $229,900 for Manager, Cyber Technical
San Francisco and San Jose, California (Hybrid On-Site): $213,400 - $243,500 for Manager, Cyber Technical
Illinois (Hybrid On-Site): $187,700 - $214,200 for Manager, Cyber Technical

This role is eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.

Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
