As a key member of our engineering team, the Assistant Chief Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities. This position is responsible for assisting the department head in managing the budget, capital expenditures, and preventative maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and maintenance, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise the distribution of repair work orders and ensure timely completion.
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and evaluating preventative maintenance programs.
- Establish and maintain open relationships with employees and monitor the quality of completion of repair work orders.
- Supervise engineering and related areas in the absence of the Director of Engineering.
- Assist in managing the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, electrical, and life safety systems.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with 4 years of experience in engineering and maintenance or a related field.
- Technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, and plumbing.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
