Clinical Applications Trainer

This position is responsible for assisting in the development, maintenance, delivery, and upgrade of clinical applications end-user training programs for the Perioperative and Oncology Service Lines. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of designated Epic applications and be able to prepare technical training curriculum in the application training environment. They will be involved in a team approach to ensure end-user application training includes relevant scenarios and workflows, providing an effective learning experience for the end user. The successful candidate will be comfortable adapting to a variety of learning styles and presentation mediums, skilled in using technology and clinical applications, and able to maintain appropriate credentials and continue to grow as a trainer, subject matter expert, and curriculum designer.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in the development of training materials for end-users
Support the build process for the master training environment
Incorporate appropriate scenarios and workflows into training programs
Continuously develop instructional design knowledge and skill
Demonstrate exceptional classroom facilitation skills and incorporate adult learning principles into training delivery
Create a safe and effective environment of learning for end-users
Remain expert and up-to-date in clinical applications functions, workflows, and requirements
Translate this knowledge and skill to a relevant and effective end-user training experience
Support the evaluation of training delivery and outcomes
Initiate activities to improve quality and services in response to evaluation feedback
Requirements:
Associate's Degree
Credentialed as EPIC trainer within 6 months of hire
Knowledge of Epic applications, personal computer applications, adult learning principles, and change management
2-3 years of experience in professional healthcare

They will be expected to work collaboratively as part of a team and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues and end-users. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and be self-motivated, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
