BWX Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Materials Engineer to join our team. As a Materials Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in the procurement of raw materials and ensuring compliance with customer specifications and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and interpret customer technical specifications and requirements
  • Develop scope-specific technical ordering packages for material procurements
  • Work closely with Purchasing to review quotations and participate in supplier selection and development activities
  • Participate in supplier audits and surveillance of key operations at supplier facilities
  • Evaluate and support disposition of any discrepant material
  • Review certifications and perform electronic system transactions in SAP and other business systems
  • Develop Bills of Material and participate in materials selection and drawing development exercises for new projects
Requirements:
  • B.S. in Metallurgy Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or similar engineering degree
  • Two or more years of engineering experience
  • Ability to travel to the NOG facility in Barberton, Ohio for on-the-job training
  • U.S. citizenship with no dual citizenship
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance
