Job Summary

As a Field Engineer at Polyvantis, you will serve as a key contact point between customers, project teams, research and development departments, and design teams to develop practical solutions that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to existing and new customers of FF Sheet and Film.
  • Understand and interpret material requirements of new customers, new products, and new business opportunities.
  • Propose new material solutions based on client needs and FF delivery capability.
  • Conduct industry analysis and recognize new market/technology trends and opportunities to improve FF's sales and market share.
  • Technical support includes lamination, thermoforming, cold forming and bending, in-mold decoration, cutting, drilling, and routing techniques, paint, print, and adhesion techniques.
  • Build advanced process understanding and expertise, and develop training for internal and external customers.
  • Support the introduction of new materials with application development, ensuring process optimization at customer base.
  • Handle, analyze, and report technical issues at customer base.
  • Help manage and maintain client relations, while realizing new business with existing clients and acquiring new clients.
  • Feedback customer's voice and KPIs.
  • Be recognized by customers as an expert in relevant technical areas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferred in Material/Polymer Science or relevant work experiences in application development.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in technical/process/application development.
  • A hands-on practical approach to problem-solving at customer level.
  • Strong technical orientation, understanding of multiple processing technologies.
  • Time management and prioritization.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Plastics product knowledge.
  • Provide values and solutions to customer's requests.
  • Presentation skills.
  • Spanish language skills a plus.
  • Field role requiring 40-50% travel, mostly within North, South America, and Canada region.
Work Availability

Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position. Applicants must be regularly available and willing to work Monday-Friday during assigned hours of operation and such other hours as the company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
