Environmental Remediation Specialist

AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Remediation Specialist to join our Industrial Remediation Practices group. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in remediation system design and operations, soil and groundwater investigations, and remediation projects. The successful candidate will have strong multi-discipline technical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work productively both independently and collaboratively with engineers and scientists on a variety of remediation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering and design support for private industrial and municipal remediation projects.
  • Develop, coordinate, and provide field oversight of pre-design investigations.
  • Remedial technology design (water / wastewater) experience.
  • Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) related experience (project life-cycle).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or closely related field and 6+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Direct PFAS experience.
  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree and PhD in Civil or environmental engineering is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in environmental consulting and remediation system design.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
