Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Systems

Job Summary:
Ramboll US Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer - HVAC Systems to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As a key member of our Advanced Manufacturing Division, you will be responsible for designing and engineering HVAC systems for various projects.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform design and engineering work in various areas of the mechanical discipline, with a focus on HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to produce final construction drawings and details associated with mechanical engineering projects.
• Develop conceptual designs and cost estimates for early stages of the project life cycle.
• Create design drawings utilizing Revit 3D design software.
• Conduct or participate in investigative energy assessments to identify energy and cost savings measures.
• Assess and design building ventilation systems based on requirements for heat removal in industrial spaces and maintaining indoor air quality.
• Conduct spreadsheet analysis to assess the energy and cost savings of proposed energy conservation measures (ECMs).
• Utilize building modeling software (HAP or Trane Trace) to determine envelope heat gains/losses and assess savings potentials of ECMs.
• Specify mechanical equipment.
• Design plumbing and building utility piping systems.
• Summarize engineering results in written reports and/or presentations that are cohesive and of the highest quality.
• Visit job sites as required for projects involving upfit of existing systems.
• Adhere to the policies and standards set forth in Ramboll's Project Execution Manual.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment for all employees by adhering to Ramboll's Health, Safety, and Environmental procedures.

Requirements:
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or greater.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems.
• Licensed professional engineer strongly preferred.
• Ability to foster a creative engineering environment.
• Strong communication skills, (both in written and verbal).
• Ability to work across a wide range of areas within the mechanical engineering discipline.
• Strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit design software preferred.
