The City and County of San Francisco is seeking a temporary ballot box maintenance and ballot retriever driver to support the Department of Elections in the upcoming election cycle.
Job DescriptionThis position involves maintaining ballot boxes, retrieving ballots, and performing various tasks to ensure the integrity of the election process. The ideal candidate will have excellent work ethics, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a valid California driver's license with a clean DMV record.
Responsibilities- Maintain ballot boxes, including cleaning and repair
- Retrieve ballots from ballot boxes, following designated protocols
- Perform regular maintenance on ballot drop boxes
- Collaborate with San Francisco Deputy Sheriffs to ensure ballot security
- Operate a cargo van and lift up to 50 lbs.
- 6 months of clerical experience, including preparing and maintaining records and documents
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent work ethics and sense of responsibility
- Valid California driver's license and clean DMV record
This is a temporary exempt as-needed position with the City and County of San Francisco. Temporary exempt as-needed employees who have worked more than 1040 hours in any consecutive 12-month period, and whose normal work week at the time of inclusion in the system is not less than 20 hours are eligible for health coverage and retirement benefits.
