Flight Nurse

The NEST Flight Nurse is a critical care specialist responsible for delivering advanced critical care to patients of Life Flight Network (LFN). This role requires strong leadership skills, effective communication, and the ability to work in high-stress situations.
Key Responsibilities- Work with the Flight Respiratory Therapist to deliver age-appropriate patient care
- Perform chest tube insertion, surgical airways, endotracheal intubation, intraosseous insertion, and central line placement
- Assume ultimate responsibility for all direct patient care in accordance with LFN guidelines and protocols
- Collaborate with the Flight Respiratory Therapist to provide accurate and complete patient care documentation
- Participate in the development of LFN business and operations plans to meet medical transport service and financial performance goals
- Minimum of five years of critical care experience within the last ten years
- Minimum of three years in the NICU or PICU
- Previous flight experience preferred
- Current licensure and/or certification as listed below
