Critical Care Flight Nurse

The Flight Nurse is a critical member of the Life Flight Network team, responsible for delivering advanced critical care to patients in need. This role requires a minimum of five years of ICU/ED/Trauma experience, with previous flight experience preferred. The successful candidate will be a licensed RN with current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PHTLS, PALS, NRP, and TPATC. They will also possess strong leadership skills, ability to communicate effectively, and work well in high-stress situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver advanced critical care to patients in need
- Work with the Flight Paramedic to provide age-appropriate patient care
- Document patient care accurately and completely
- Provide written and/or verbal patient follow-up to referring hospitals or agencies
- Assist with equipment retrieval and return to appropriate agencies
- Work with the Flight Paramedic to maintain equipment and supplies
Requirements:
- Minimum of five years of ICU/ED/Trauma experience
- Previous flight experience preferred
- Current licensure and/or certification as listed above
- Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work well in high-stress situations
