Job Summary

The Senior Premium Auditor is a critical role within AmTrust Financial Services, responsible for performing complex audits of earned premium risk calculations. This position requires expertise in handling audits within AmTrust's Major Accounts Programs, investigating and verifying premium base exposures according to policy contract terms, manual rules, company filings, and procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values, upholding the standards of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform expert-level audits on Workers Compensation and General Liability policies under limited supervision, examining records to ensure accuracy of earned premium calculations.
  • Conduct audits within assigned territory, focusing on AmTrust Major Accounts Program, with overnight travel required 10 to 20% of the time.
  • Provide value-added services for AmTrust Major Accounts Programs, including new business service calls, scheduled check-ins with key account personnel.
  • Serve as the point of contact for assigned Major Accounts, communicating collaboratively with insureds, underwriters, account managers, and producers.
  • Identify, research, and correct policy-rating issues discovered during the audit process, resolving audit discrepancies and disputes of the highest complexity.
  • Validate that correct classes are applied and are in accordance with governing regulatory agencies and/or independent state bureaus and company procedures by reviewing financial records and other relevant materials.
  • Assist in handling and clearing test audits and other bureau inquiries.
  • Review results of audits with producers, underwriters, insureds, and Premium Audit leadership.
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to lower-level positions.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers throughout the life cycle of the premium audit function.
  • Stay current with manual rules, market trends, and demands.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, customer service, and interpretive skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 7 or more years of premium audit field experience handling California.
  • Associates in Premium Audit Program (APA) certification preferred.
