Job Summary

This is a dual-role position that will split responsibilities between HR administrative duties and recruitment, with a primary focus on administrative tasks (60%) and recruitment for vacant positions (40%).

Key Responsibilities

HR Coordinator (60%)

  • Maintain the accuracy and security of all HR-related files in accordance with the records retention guidelines.
  • Assist employees in utilizing the self-service functions of our HRIS (Workday).
  • Maintain and update Sharepoint files.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Support the HR Manager in various HR initiatives and projects.

Employee Onboarding:

  • Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation sessions.
  • Conduct orientations for newly hired employees.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation are completed for new employees.
  • Check in with new employees on a periodic basis to ensure their experience matches the position, culture, and expected outcomes.

Recruiter (40%)

  • Source candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, and community partnerships.
  • Participate in hiring events, career fairs, and other networking activities to expand our talent pool.
  • Coordinate, plan, and monitor open positions in junction with hiring managers.
  • Review candidates and conduct phone screens.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring managers and potential candidates.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Two years' experience in HR coordination preferred.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for hiring events.
  • Experience using a variety of sourcing channels and tools preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving history.

Working Conditions

This position requires prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May require some lifting of hiring materials, up to 20 pounds at times.
