Unlock Your Potential as a Sales Engineer II for Carrier at Spectrum Enterprise

Spectrum Enterprise is seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer II for Carrier to join our team. As a Sales Engineer II, you will play a critical role in supporting the sales of Layer two Ethernet services to wholesale Carrier accounts. Your expertise in data layer two networking communications, IP security strategies, VoIP/SIP, IP-VPN, DWDM, MPLS, VPLS, metro Ethernet, and LAN/WAN integration will enable you to provide cost-effective business solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform needs assessments and status evaluations to identify client improvement areas.
  • Create technical and product presentations and network designs to inform clients.
  • Work with internal teams to develop unique service offerings for standard and nonstandard solutions.
  • Serve as an SME on data services to provide proof of concepts to other teams.
  • Develop strategic responses for RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
  • Research industry knowledge and emerging technology to improve product offerings.
Requirements:
  • Five or more years of telecommunication networking or systems integrator experience.
  • Experience selling to tier one and tier two providers.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Technical skills in data layer two networking communications, IP security strategies, VoIP/SIP, IP-VPN, DWDM, MPLS, VPLS, metro Ethernet, and LAN/WAN integration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong troubleshooting, issue resolution, presentation, and English communication skills.
  • Ability to network across departments and with boundary partners.
  • Availability to travel to and from assigned territories and company facilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Five or more years of field experience in telecommunications pre-sales.
  • Experience with Mobile Backhaul a plus.
  • Cisco, Juniper, ALU, or MEF-CECP certification.
