Job Summary:

The Senior Compliance Officer is a critical role within Summa Health, responsible for ensuring the organization's compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. This position requires a strong understanding of healthcare regulations and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to promote a culture of compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and evaluate compliance issues and concerns throughout the organization
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit and other departments to monitor systems and processes
  • Conduct fraud and compliance awareness training and education outreach
  • Work with staff to promote an organizational culture that encourages ethical conduct
  • Provide guidance to business and operational leaders on compliance matters

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare compliance or legal experience
  • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) required
  • Preferred certifications: Certified in Healthcare Privacy (CHPC), Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Leadership Professional in Ethics and Compliance (LPEC)

Working Conditions:

This role requires a sedentary work environment with occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force.

Salary Range:

$37.03/hr - $55.55/hr
