Job Summary

EvergreenHealth is seeking a skilled Sonographer II to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine - Perinatology team. As a key member of our team, you will perform primarily obstetrical ultrasound examinations, including biometry and anatomy surveys, under the direction of perinatologists.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct ultrasound examinations of patients, including twin-twin transfusion evaluations and fetal echocardiograms, as well as basic and targeted obstetrical ultrasound examinations in all three trimesters.
  2. Promote excellent patient relations by fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere in interactions with patients, family members, hospital staff, and the community.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients, using clear and concise language, to maintain their confidence and comfort throughout the examination process.
  4. Acquire and manipulate 3D and 4D images to provide detailed visualizations of fetal development.
  5. Provide portable examinations at the bedside as requested by attending physicians.
  6. Assist perinatologists with various invasive outpatient procedures, including cerclage placements and twin-twin transfusion laser ablation procedures.
  7. Independently assist perinatologists with operating room guidance for surgical procedures, such as cerclage placements and twin-twin transfusion laser ablation procedures.
Requirements
  • ARDMS-certified in obstetrics.
  • At least one year of experience in an ultrasound setting.
  • At least six months of experience in high-risk OB ultrasound.
  • First Trimester Nuchal Translucency or ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography certification.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.

  • At least one year of experience in high-risk OB ultrasound.
