Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sonographer II to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine - Perinatology team at EvergreenHealth. The successful candidate will perform primarily obstetrical ultrasound examinations, including biometry and anatomy surveys, under the direction of perinatologists.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct ultrasound examinations of patients, including twin-twin transfusion evaluations and fetal echocardiograms, as well as basic and targeted obstetrical ultrasound examinations in all three trimesters.
  2. Promote excellent patient relations by fostering a positive and encouraging atmosphere in interactions with patients, family members, hospital staff, and community.
  3. Communicate effectively with patients in lay language, maintaining their confidence throughout the procedure.
  4. Acquire and manipulate 3D and 4D images.
  5. Provide portable examinations at the bedside as requested by attending physicians.
  6. Assist perinatologists with various invasive outpatient procedures.
  7. Independently assist perinatologists with operating room guidance of surgical procedures, such as cerclage placements and twin-twin transfusion laser ablation procedures.
Requirements
  • ARDMS-certified in obstetrics.
  • 1 year of experience in an ultrasound setting.
  • 6 months of experience in high-risk OB ultrasound.
  • 1st Trimester Nuchal Translucency or ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography Certified.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.
Desired Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience in high-risk OB ultrasound.
