Role Overview:

The Director of Social Media will spearhead a team focused on shaping the social media vision and strategy for Tubi on a global scale. We seek a creative strategist who possesses a keen understanding of the cultural landscape and has a proven track record in channel strategy, audience development, and influencer engagement. This individual will enhance our brand's presence across all social platforms, fostering distinction and brand loyalty. They will also optimize our promotional strategies to elevate content conversations and drive viewership. Collaboration will be key, as this role will work closely with our Communications, B2B Marketing, Content, and Product teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about exploring new platforms, adept at community building, and thrives at the intersection of culture and content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate across all Tubi social channels by staying informed on emerging technologies, platforms, macro trends, and competitor strategies to inform our strategic plans. Recognize new trends to inspire innovative content creation for organic growth.
  • Grow the brand's social media following by attracting new audiences and converting existing followers into brand advocates. Enhance engagement across platforms such as Snapchat, TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, and Discord.
  • Identify content that aligns with real-time cultural trends and planned events. Develop strategies that leverage talent and encourage the fan community to participate in promotion.
  • Devise creative methods to position Tubi within the social conversation and collaborate with influential individuals and brands to enhance effectiveness.
  • Guide and develop a robust internal and external team (including agency support) in social community management, creative development, and talent management.
  • Establish standardized tracking, tools, and measurement methodologies in partnership with the analytics team.
  • Work with the International team to share best practices and provide guidance on strategies in new non-US markets.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in social strategy and execution for a global brand, with at least 5 years in a management role.
  • Extensive knowledge of the digital landscape and emerging platforms, with a strong focus on marketing to Gen-Z and Millennial audiences. Hands-on experience with video platforms like TikTok is essential.
  • Proficient in social analytics, social listening, and automation tools.
  • Diverse experience encompassing brand identity, art direction, content strategy and development, video, and paid social media.
