Nurse Practitioner II

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner II to join our team at MedStar Medical Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities- Practice and Quality: Provide relationship-based care that promotes continuous, consistent, efficient, and accountable delivery of nursing care using the nursing process.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with interprofessional groups to ensure coordination, continuity, and safe care.
- Leadership: Supports and contributes to the unit, department, and organizational goals inclusive of the mission, vision, and values.
- Professional Development: Serves as a preceptor or mentor and participates in professional development activities.
- Education: Associate's degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: At least two (2) years recent acute care experience in the relevant patient care area required.
- Licenses and Certifications: RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the District of Columbia required; CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required.
- Certification in specialty or related specialty preferred.
