The Floor Care Operations Manager will oversee and ensure the effective execution of floor maintenance activities within the designated program. This role involves managing both permanent and temporary staff engaged in floor care services. The individual will conduct inspections of work areas, equipment, and overall conditions to guarantee adherence to sanitation and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor Floor Care Technicians in tasks such as buffing, waxing, and stripping floors.
  • Execute duties performed by team members as needed.
  • Provide training, supervision, and guidance to staff on safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
  • Organize and oversee work activities, suggesting training and disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Prepare written documentation, including reports for handovers, weekly summaries, or monthly evaluations.
  • Conduct quality, service, and safety inspections regularly.
  • Manage inventory of equipment, including maintenance and repair tracking.
  • Monitor supply levels and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure employees utilize personal protective equipment correctly to maintain safety compliance.
  • Address personnel and customer issues promptly, reporting them to management.
  • Identify and rectify at-risk behaviors immediately, followed by reporting to management.
  • Offer suggestions for improvements in areas requiring corrective action.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, including training logs, inspection reports, attendance, and performance metrics.
  • Familiarize oneself with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Travel may be necessary for this role.
  • Be available for emergency calls as needed.
  • Oversee the scheduling of routine cleaning operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training; a High School diploma or GED; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least two years of experience in janitorial services.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in database, internet, spreadsheet, and word processing software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent customer service, training, and time management abilities.
  • Capable of problem-solving, presenting, and coaching effectively.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Competence in drafting routine reports and correspondence.
  • Prior supervisory experience is essential.
  • Willingness to work weekends as required.
  • Proficient computer skills are necessary.
  • Experience in floor care, including hard floor and carpet cleaning.

Compensation: $60,000 per year

Shift: 2nd shift, 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM
