POSITION OVERVIEW:

This is a hybrid role. While our main operations are based in a central location, you will engage in recruitment activities in the surrounding metropolitan area.

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the recruitment and onboarding processes for prospective Job Corps students. This includes identifying and fostering partnerships that enhance student success, assessing qualifications for enrollment, and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations to determine candidates' eligibility for the Job Corps Program.
  • Review and assess applicants' behavioral, medical, and educational documentation.
  • Make informed decisions regarding applicant enrollment and provide referrals to alternative educational resources as necessary.
  • Facilitate comprehensive assessment and career counseling throughout the admissions process.
  • Collaborate with internal staff to ensure a smooth enrollment experience and promote early student retention.
  • Engage with community organizations, employment services, and educational institutions to raise awareness about the Job Corps program.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and community stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain referral networks within the community.
  • Conduct informational tours, pre-enrollment visits, and family meetings.
  • Mentor and guide students in accordance with established Career Success Standards.
  • Provide effective supervision and support to the student population.
  • Implement proactive measures to positively influence student behavior.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for program and service enhancement.



Qualifications

Associate's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or a closely related field, along with two years of relevant experience is required.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.

  • Experience may include successful enrollment in Job Corps or similar youth development initiatives.
  • A valid in-State Driver's License is required, along with meeting company insurability standards.
