Position Responsibilities
As a Mathematics Educator, you will be responsible for delivering instruction and training to students within the Career Education Center. You will create personalized achievement plans and academic objectives to foster student success. Collaborating with Career Technical Training (CTT) instructors, you will integrate applied mathematics into the curricula to enhance learning outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
o Adhering to integrity guidelines and ensuring the accuracy of student data.
o Meeting or exceeding performance goals set by the Department of Labor and the organization.
o Providing academic training that leads to GED/HSD completion and improved literacy and numeracy skills.
o Offering individualized case management to support student progress and program completion.
o Maintaining an organized and conducive classroom environment that promotes learning.
o Holding students accountable for adhering to the center's standards of conduct.
o Effectively planning and organizing assignments to achieve established goals.
o Continuously developing job-related skills to fulfill all responsibilities.
o Mentoring and modeling Career Success Standards as required.
o Ensuring high-quality supervision and management of the student population, fostering positive behavior and accountability.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required, with a Master's degree preferred. A valid in-state teaching certificate or waiver is necessary. Previous experience in teaching or within a Job Corps setting is advantageous.
