Role Summary:

This position is vital for monitoring the horizon for potential partners, industry developments, competitive insights, and more. The Specialist will become an integral part of a dynamic team focused on pinpointing key growth opportunities that should be assessed as potential solutions for APEX.

As a significant contributor to the Product Strategy & Solutions team, you will assist the Solutions Team in various aspects of business planning and solution development, collaborating with stakeholders across Group Media Solutions, Investment, Activation, and Insights to identify gaps or challenges faced by clients that can be addressed through new products and partnerships. You will engage with vendors throughout the advertising sector to stay informed about the latest capabilities across various channels and industry trends.

In addition to supporting marketplace analysis, this role will communicate essential insights, recommendations, and updates to our executive leadership.

Reporting Structure:
You will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Product Strategy & Solutions.

Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position, requiring three days in the office each week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Continuously refine our analysis of market spending, adoption of new formats or solutions, and significant M&A activities.
  • Support product steering efforts by monitoring the convergence of supply and solutions across video, audio, display, social, and out-of-home media.
  • Examine consumer trends in collaboration with our Research & Insights Team to inform the construction of our supply packages and marketing of our solutions.
  • Regularly review go-to-market materials, updating them with the latest research and insights from the Research & Insights team.
  • Foster strong interdepartmental relationships and adapt processes to promote product collaboration across media channels.
  • Collaborate with the Activation Team to analyze RFPs and track consistent trends in won and lost opportunities.
  • Assist in creating internal resource documents and process documentation for new solutions.
  • Contribute to reporting and insights that guide team and business structure decisions.
  • Participate in team-wide meetings, noting market and client feedback on solutions.
  • Help create product presentations for team-wide status updates.
  • Evaluate external advertising technology companies, assessing how their capabilities can enhance our solutions.
  • When appropriate, support quarterly business reviews with product-level reporting and data interpretation to provide optimization suggestions.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in media in an analytical or data-driven capacity.
  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in systems and software such as Salesforce, PowerPoint, automation tools, and data visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of data and systems across a variety of research tools.
  • Ability to facilitate discussions both internally across teams and externally with industry representatives.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to interpret data and identify key themes.
