Job Summary

Merrick & Company is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Specialist II to join our team. As a Commissioning Specialist II, you will be responsible for coordinating, performing, and overseeing detailed field commissioning services, assessments, and studies for various facilities and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate commissioning plans, write commissioning specifications, and develop commissioning installation checklists and functional test procedures.
  • Verify and validate commissioned systems controls and equipment, and document the commissioning process.
  • Develop final commissioning reports and systems manuals.
  • Coordinate with owners and contractors, and lead project meetings.
  • Generate accurate, detailed reports, and read and understand building drawings, specifications, and submittals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a 2-year Technical Associates Degree from an accredited institution.
  • 5+ years of experience in commissioning systems, including HVAC, controls, plumbing, laboratory equipment, fire protection, security, and electrical systems.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship, valid driver's license, and good driving record.
  • Frequent travel to project/client locations, with possible international travel.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ambitious and flexible individual with a talent for efficiency and process improvement.
  • Self-starter with strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to lead project meetings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, and familiarity with AutoCad and/or Revit.
  • Ability to obtain a US security clearance.
