Job Summary

As a Front Desk Receptionist at Comfort Inn & Suites Arlington Heights, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out. This role requires a friendly, professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests upon arrival with a warm and friendly demeanor.

  • Check guests in and out, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

  • Handle guest inquiries, reservations, and complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Provide information about the hotel, available rooms, rates, and amenities.

  • Assist guests with transportation arrangements, restaurant reservations, and local attractions.

Administrative Duties:

  • Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and transactions.

  • Process payments and ensure proper billing procedures.

  • Answer and direct phone calls, taking messages when necessary.

  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to address guest requests and issues.

Operational Support:

  • Monitor and respond to guest reviews and feedback.

  • Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

  • Assist in training new front desk staff as needed.

  • Follow hotel policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in hospitality or related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is a plus.

  • Proficient in computer systems and hotel management software (e.g., OPERA, PMS).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
