Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Speech Language Pathologist to provide evaluation and treatment services to patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Certification by the American Speech and Hearing Association (CCC-SLP), and a current New York State license and registration in Speech Language Pathology.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders on an inpatient and outpatient basis.
- Experience with high-acuity conditions, including critically ill patients in intensive care units and acute care floors.
- Strong documentation and communication skills to convey recommendations and provide education to the interdisciplinary team.
- Proficient in conducting Modified Barium Swallow studies and performing, interpreting, and applying results from Fiberoptic Evaluation of Swallow Studies (FEES).
- Knowledgeable about cranio-facial abnormalities, congenital heart defects, gastrointestinal disorders, tracheostomized patients, and head and neck cancer.
- Experience evaluating and treating patients in an Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility.
- Additional potential clinical and research opportunities available.
- Fluency in Spanish is ideal.
- Flexible schedule inclusive of weekends and holiday coverage.
