We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at AdventHealth Fish Memorial. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in evaluating and conducting medically prescribed speech language pathology treatment programs.

About the Role

This is a full-time position working day shifts. The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for assessing patient ability to safely and effectively perform speech language, cognitive, and swallowing skills. You will design and implement a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed speech language pathology treatment programs
  • Assess patient ability to safely and effectively perform speech language, cognitive, and swallowing skills
  • Design and implement a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient needs
  • Monitor patient response and progress to treatment and modify treatment plan as appropriate
  • Document and charge accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines, and department/hospital policy and procedures
  • Provide discharge planning assistance and information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and follow-up services
  • Oversee the care provided by therapy aides, according to established regulations and practice standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a State of Florida Speech Language Pathologist license and Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
