Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and education, in a fast-paced acute care setting.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Conduct health assessments, order diagnostic tests, and interpret results to inform patient care decisions.
- Prescribe medications and treatments as appropriate, and educate patients and families on medication management and self-care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our nursing practice.
- Master's degree in Nursing.
- Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice or nurse practitioner clinical experience.
- RN-Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
- APRN-Advanced Practice Registered Nurse - Texas Board of Nursing.
- Magnet-ANCC Recognized Certification - as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, based on applicable patient population.
- AANP-Credentialed member, American Academy Of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) - as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, based on applicable patient population.
- BLS-Basic Life Support (AHA).
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA) - (not required for Employee Health, Primary Care and Telemedicine departments).
- AP-Prescriptive Authority - Texas Board of Nursing.
- DEA-Narcotics License (DEA) within 6 months.
