Nursing Assistant

As a Nursing Assistant - Direct Care Specialist with the State of Georgia, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a nursing facility or home health care setting. Under general supervision, you will perform assigned direct care activities and basic nursing procedures, working closely with nursing staff to assess clients' physical and mental conditions according to established policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist nursing staff in assessing clients' physical and mental conditions
Complete required documentation in patient and unit records
Follow hospital/departmental procedures regarding infection control and maintain certification
Perform basic nursing procedures, such as taking vital signs, weight, and specimens according to the treatment plan
Provide training and/or direction to patients in activities of daily living to promote increased independence
Requirements:
Must be certified as a Nursing Assistant
One year of experience at the lower level Nursing Asst 1 (HCS050) or position equivalent
