Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Denver Health is seeking a highly skilled Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neonatology Division. As an Advanced Care Provider, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Well Baby Nursery. Your expertise will be invaluable in supporting our team and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Direct patient care in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery, including follow-up planning and coordination.
- Participate in night call and provide support during neonatal resuscitations and care of NICU and Well Baby Nursery patients.
- Assist residents with procedures and provide guidance on patient care.
- Teach medical students, physician assistant students, and nursing students, as well as pediatric and family medicine residents, in the NICU and Well Baby Nursery.
- Participate in administrative staff meetings and contribute to programmatic initiatives in the NICU and Nursery.
- Master's degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA).
- Highly experienced in newborn resuscitation, placement of arterial and venous lines, and chest tubes.
- Knowledge of medical principles and procedures, including the administration and prescription of medications.
- Ability to exercise initiative and judgment in selecting proper treatment and responding to emergency situations.
- Competitive hourly rate: $63.22 - $70.43.
