The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children seeks a skilled Grant Funding Specialist to research, identify, and write grant applications for government funding opportunities. This role is responsible for planning strategies for securing new grants, analyzing RFPs, and facilitating meetings with key stakeholders.

This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to complete high-quality work independently as well as be a contributing member of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research government funding opportunities relevant to NYSPCC programs
  • Analyze all relevant RFPs and prepare summary memos for applicable staff
  • Plan strategies for securing new grants and bolstering support and revenue
  • Facilitate meetings with key stakeholders to plan for all government grant opportunities
  • Lead the preparation and development of government grant proposals
  • Ensure that all internal and final deadlines are met and proposal components are being addressed by relevant staff

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 5 years of government grant writing experience, with proven track record
  • Knowledge of New York City and New York State government structure and granting agencies
  • Excellent project management skills and proactive communication style
  • Ability to meet deadlines and perform to a high quality of work

Compensation: $80,000 - $85,000 per year commensurate with experience, plus an excellent benefit package including health insurance, 403B plan with match, life insurance, and generous vacation/personal day leave.
