Position Summary:
The Field Supervisor acts as a senior technical leader within a project team, primarily focused on ensuring jobsite productivity, delivering high-quality work, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role merges advanced trade skills with project management techniques to ensure the timely installation of Structured Cabling Systems, Data Centers, or Specialty projects, adhering to established standards.

This position entails approximately 70% field presence and 30% administrative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee all installation aspects, including:
1) Planning, organizing, and directing personnel, resources, and materials.
2) Reading and interpreting floor plans, drawings, specifications, and cut sheets.
3) Conducting system testing and troubleshooting as necessary.

- Assess project requirements and validate the Scope of Work (SOW) and project plan to optimize team performance and ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Collaborate with the Scheduling administrator to maintain a 2-5 week look-ahead schedule for resource planning.

- Provide accurate project status reports to the Scheduling administrator to facilitate timely updates to leadership and clients.

- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and mentor to technicians, enhancing their skills and performance.

- Work alongside the Project Engineer to identify compliant equipment and materials for projects.
- Monitor, analyze, and resolve recurring issues that hinder performance targets.
- Share best practices and lessons learned across various sites for continuous improvement.

- Offer coaching and guidance to team members, encouraging their development in emerging technologies.

- Exemplify safety and professionalism at all times.

Travel Requirements:
The individual in this role should be prepared to travel as necessary for E2 Optics.

Additional Responsibilities:
As assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- OSHA 30 certification within the first two weeks of employment.
- Preferred certifications include BICSI Installer 2 Copper and BICSI Installer 2 Fiber.
- BICSI Certified Technician must be obtained within 12 months of employment.

Experience:
- 3-6 years of experience in Structured Cabling or a related industry/construction field.
- Experience in large data center infrastructure, including technology, quality, and safety standards.
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or training role, with experience in organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments.

Position Bonus Attributes:
- Achieve company-approved (manufacturer) certifications.
- Obtain BICSI RTPM (Registered Telecommunications Project Manager) certification.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to supervise and train employees effectively, including organizing and prioritizing work assignments.
- Comprehensive understanding of structured cabling systems, including pathways, spaces, and testing protocols.
- Familiarity with PMBOK (Project Management Body of Knowledge) Guides and Standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Capacity to develop and implement standard operating procedures that empower installation teams to deliver client value.
- Professional demeanor and effective performance management skills.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Positive attitude and high attention to detail.

Physical Demands:
The standard work environment includes both an indoor office and construction settings. The role requires the ability to use a computer and/or hand tools while sitting or standing for extended periods. Regular lifting of up to 50 pounds and climbing ladders up to 20 feet is necessary.
